Chemical peels are treatments that involve application of safe solutions to the skin to help improve a variety of skin conditions. Sun damage, wrinkles, acne, irregular pigmentation (melasma and age spots) even precancerous actinic keratosis can all be improved by a series of chemical peels. Depending on your skin type and specific concern a different type of peel solution is used (lactic, salicylic or glycolic acid).

Superficial chemical peels require little down-time, hence the term “lunch-time” peel. Mild redness may occur and dead, unhealthy skin may slowly fall off over several days. By producing a controlled exfoliation of the skin, your body is stimulated to grow new healthy skin with an improved appearance.
