Restylane® is an injectable gel which should always administered by a trained, medically qualified practitioner. Restylane® enhances your natural looks by restoring your skin’s volume, creating softness and revitalizing your appearance.

Youthful skin is rich in hyaluronic acid. As we age, the distribution and function of hyaluronic acid in our skin gradually change, leading to the characteristic signs of aging. Restylane® gels work by enhancing your skin’s own stocks of hyaluronic acid, directly adding volume to either soften the signs of aging or enhance your features.

The procedure is quick. It usually takes less than 30 minutes. The benefits can be seen immediately.

You can also refresh your look with JUVÉDERM®, #1 injectable filler in Canada. Smooth out wrinkles and restore volume to reduce the signs of aging. As we age, our skin changes and over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. With JUVÉDERM® injectable gel, you don't have to just sit back and let it happen! Approved by the FDA, Juvéderm® injectable gel is a “next-generation” dermal filler. JUVÉDERM® is the ONLY hyaluronic acid (HA) filler FDA approved* to last up to 1 year.

JUVÉDERM® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Your healthcare professional eases Juvéderm® injectable gel under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your “smile lines” or “parentheses” (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

JUVÉDERM® provides a smooth, natural look and feel—so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! In fact, studies show superior results of JUVÉDERM® compared to a collagen-based dermal filler.†

Almost 90% of all study volunteers who were treated with both Juvéderm® injectable gel and another dermal filler† preferred JUVÉDERM®!
JUVÉDERM® injectable gel is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that is proven to be safe and effective for persons of color.

Fat Grafting

This breakdown can also be attributed to excessive squinting, frowning, smiling, and especially smoking.

Wrinkles can be smoothed out by filling the skin or the tissue under the skin with fillers. There are many types of tissue fillers which provide a temporary fill such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and others. You can also have semi-permanent filling by having your own fat transferred from one part of your body to another in a procedure known as fat grafting or lipofilling.

Fat transfer is widely used because it is tolerated well: you cannot be allergic to substances taken from your own body. Your plastic surgeon can discuss with you the risks and benefits of all of the available tissue fillers.

In addition to filling out wrinkles, lipofilling can be used to recontour the face and provide fullness to cheeks, chin, lips and lower eyes. The fat used for fat transfer is liposuctioned from another part of your body like the abdomen or thighs and injected into an area of the face that requires more volume.

Injected fat lasts longer in larger areas of non-movement, so while it is successful for the correction of grooves under the eyes and sunken cheeks, it is not as successful for creating fuller lips.

Fat grafting can also improve atrophic aging of the hands. Fat grafting is usually performed on an outpatient basis. Both the area from which the fat is taken and the treatment site are anesthetized with a local anesthetic. Using a small needle attached to a syringe, fat is removed from a donor site where you have spare fat, such as your abdomen. Once removed, your fat is processed to remove excess fluids and then re-injected using another needle, which is placed just under your skin beneath the wrinkle, or deeper if contour change is desired. The procedure may need to be repeated until the desired correction has been achieved.

Swelling and bruising is expected after fat injection. Discomfort following the procedure can be easily controlled with medication. Although your body may resorb some of the fat of lipofilling, some of it remains with each treatment for a long lasting result.
